What is the course about?
Why not join us for two festive-filled afternoons in December, where you will make your very own Christmas decorations!
You will be shown all of the techniques required to make your own wonderful creations, perfect for decorating your tree, home or sharing with others. You will learn how to measure out the different elements of your design, working with symmetry, scale and proportion.
Why should I choose the course?
This exciting course will not only develop your creative skills, but will also provide you with wonderful Christmas decorations to take away with you. All materials and equipment will be provided.
What will I learn?
You will learn how to create bespoke Christmas decorations, with all of the required tricks and tips included. You will use various construction techniques, requiring accurate measurement, scale, symmetry and proportion.
What will the course lead on to?
We have a range both accredited and non-accredited Art courses on offer at the college, including Introduction to Art and Design and Art and Design Creative Craft level 1.
What support is available?
We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required and a welfare team that are on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed. Additionally, eligible students can access a wide range of finance and funding support to help them during their time at college.

Why should I choose to study the course at Warrington & Vale Royal College?
You will learn from our highly skilled Art teacher to create fun and highly bespoke creations. All materials and equipment are provided. You will make your creations in our spacious Art studios, all based within our Advanced Creative and Digital Skills Academy.
What are the entry requirements?
To be eligible for this course, applicants must have not achieved a grade 4 (equivalent to grade C) or higher in their GCSE Maths exam and must be 19 years or older as of 31st August 2023. You will also need to live within the Borough of Warrington.
What are my funding options?
The course is free for eligible students.
Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
There are no additional costs associated with this course. All materials and equipment will be provided.
