Industry links
Due to the college’s exceptional links to renowned cultural organisations and employers, you can expect to benefit from strong industry connections. Thanks to an established partnership with the Liverpool Empire Theatre, you will embark on a unique and industry-focused course, participating in guest lectures and workshops with industry professionals in theatre, TV and community arts, including the likes of Disney and the English National Ballet. In 2023, performing arts students had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform live on stage as part of Liverpool’s celebrations for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Our employer partnerships will also provide exclusive opportunities with external agencies to strengthen your knowledge and experience, including discounted ticket costs and backstage access to shows.
Alongside your course, you will undertake industry placements and participate in performance projects for local community groups and employers, as well as being encouraged to enter competitions to showcase your skills and gain wider exposure. Such competitions are judged by industry experts and professionals, giving students a true taste of the performing arts world.
In addition to the industry-relevant skills honed throughout your industry placements, you will gain vital employability skills including communication, customer service, enthusiasm, motivation, problem-solving and attention to detail.
