What is the course about?
This course is suitable for adults aged 19 and over who have an interest in learning watercolour painting techniques. Learning about the necessary equipment and techniques, you will be taking your first steps into the exciting world of watercolour painting.
Why should I choose the course?
If you enjoy art and love being creative, this fun short course will be perfect for you. The course will help you gain a range of new skills and create your own unique watercolour paintings.
What will I learn?
The course will show you how to use the brushes and equipment properly, teaching you techniques like colour washes that can be applied to a wide variety of watercolour projects. The skills you acquire will give you the tools to grow with and allow you to keep continue painting at home. You will learn:
- What equipment there is and how to use it
- How to apply a wash
- How to apply “wet on wet”
- How to apply “wet on dry”
- How to create a reflection.
You will be assessed informally by the tutor with the completion of set tasks, and you will self-assess your weekly progress using an individual learning plan. You will also complete a portfolio of paintings to take home with you.
