Lauren King 2

After completing her health & social care course at the college, Lauren progressed on to Edge Hill University to study psychology and is now completing a master's degree in counselling and psychotherapy.

Lauren says: "Words cannot express the eternal gratitude I have for all the staff and tutors who have supported me, taught me and in so many ways shaped me into who I am today. I know for a fact that I would not have achieved half as much as I have if it were not for the college and the amazing staff."

Russell Wood

After completing his Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery course, former student Russell Wood began working at Manchester House restaurant, a popular fine dining restaurant in Manchester city centre. He then moved on to Moor Hall, an Ormskirk-based hotel and restaurant with two Michelin Stars.

Russell regularly returns to the college to deliver cooking masterclasses to our current hospitality & catering students, sharing his technical skills and industry experience.

Georgia Hill cropped

“If you want your dream, you’ve got to be willing to achieve it.” These are the wise words that Mark and Jenny, our travel and tourism tutors, told alumni student Georgia Hill.

Not only did Georgia achieve her dream, but she is also thriving in it! Former Golborne High School pupil Georgia joined the college on the Level 3 Travel & Tourism course and has now landed her dream job working as cabin crew for Ryanair.

She said: “My college course has opened so many doors for my future, my tutors were so helpful and aspirational, and they wanted to see me achieve my best. I would 100% recommend this course to anybody looking at starting a career in the aviation industry.”

Bobbie Watkins resave 1

Former Level 3 Art & Design student Bobbi Watkins used her time at Warrington & Vale Royal College as a springboard to success, having come to the college to pursue her dream career as a graphic designer. Now, Bobbi is studying at Manchester Metropolitan University and is well on the way to achieving this goal.

Looking back fondly at her time with the college, Bobbie said: “I loved my course and I am so grateful for the opportunities offered to me at the college. My course gave me a clear pathway to university, and the skills I've learned have helped me massively in my degree so far. I would recommend this college to anyone- I’ve even convinced my younger sister!”

We'd love to hear about your experience at Warrington & Vale Royal College!
