Lewis Toft
Previous school: Hope Academy
College course: Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship
Employer: Bloor Homes
After refining his skills on our full-time Level 1 Brickwork course after high school, Lewis secured a competitive apprenticeship position with Bloor Homes; a renowned house-building group with over 50 years of experience. When he first joined the college, Lewis was blown away by the support of his tutors and our Apprenticeships Team, and quickly found the perfect employer to begin his career in the construction sector. Lewis has been focusing on building his skills tool-kit as well as saving up to eventually move across the globe to start a business in Australia. He said:
“The college helped me to find and secure my apprenticeship. I love that every day I am doing something different. Everything I have learned will be useful on my career journey, whether I am on-site or in college.”
