Travel & Tourism

Would you love to start an exciting career that allows you to see the world and meet new people? Whether you dream of working as cabin crew, a travel rep or a tour guide, our travel and tourism courses will help you take your first step into this booming industry.

Upon completion you can go on to university and a tourism management degree or hospitality management and other related degrees. Or you can go straight into the workforce, opting for a role in a variety of settings from flight attendant to working in luxury hotels, travel agencies and more!

Trips and visits

Travel and tourism students will have the opportunity to take part in exciting international trips, to immerse themselves in new cultures and see prominent tourist attractions with their own eyes.

Past international trips have included New York, Florida and Paris. You will also be able to visit attractions such as Alton Towers and witness the behind-the-scenes action at Manchester Airport.

By choosing to study travel and tourism level 2 or level 3 after school, you will be taking your first steps towards securing an exciting and dynamic career. Learning all about the industry both in the UK and abroad, you will gain all the skills you need to enter this thriving sector and explore what your career opportunities are in travel and tourism.

Travel & Tourism Tutor Mark Turner has 10 years of retail travel experience, as well as having achieved a BA (Hons) Leisure & Tourism and a PGCE.

Mark enjoys taking his students on international trips as it helps to broaden their horizons and enhance their understanding of the travel industry.
