Let your creativity bloom as you learn new techniques and make beautiful arrangements that will brighten up your Christmas celebrations!
What will I learn?
Each week, you’ll develop essential floristry skills using seasonal flowers, including:
- Creating stunning Christmas-themed floral designs, experimenting with various mediums and containers to form different shapes, including flat-backed Christmas sheaths.
- Identifying and applying the three Principles of Floristry in your Christmas designs, while gaining a deeper understanding of the Elements of floral design.
Throughout the course, you’ll receive informal feedback from your tutor, plus the opportunity to track your progress each week with a personalised learning plan. By the end, you’ll have the confidence to create festive floral arrangements that are sure to impress!
What will the course lead on to?
After completing this course, you may wish to continue with other short floristry courses throughout the year, such as Design & Concepts and themed courses like Wedding, Spring, and Summer floristry. These courses will help you expand your skills and knowledge and may lead to accredited qualifications.
Are there any links with industry and university?
The course will provide you with a range of basic skills and techniques, which you can use if you wish to start working or volunteering in a floristry shop or market.

What are the entry requirements?
Ideally students will have attended the basics in floristry course or already have some foundational skills and techniques. This course is for adults 19+.

Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
The College provides basic flowers, foliage, and materials each week for your use.
You may be asked to bring additional foliage and containers, and your tutor will advise you on this during the first class.
Please remember to bring a pair of floristry or household scissors.
If you have allergies to any flowers or foliage, we recommend bringing rubber or gardening gloves for your comfort and protection.
