What is the course about?
This exciting ‘next steps’ course will help you to further-develop your acrylic painting techniques through landscape painting. You will choose your own landscape photos to work from, working towards a resolved acrylic painting by the end of the course.
Why should I choose the course?
If you have already completed the’ Introduction to Landscape Painting using acrylics’ course and are ready to take your skills to the next level, or if you are already experienced in landscape painting using acrylics and wish to develop some hands hints and tips to push your work forward, this is the perfect course for you.
What will I learn?
Through a combination of demonstrations and one to one support, you will learn about how to build up an acrylic painting, from mapping out the composition and producing an underpainting, through to building up a painting in layers and adding those important final details.
What will the course lead on to?
If you are eager to learn more, why not study towards a formal arts qualification on our Level 1 NCFE Creative Craft Art and Design course.
Are there any links with industry and university?
The techniques shown to you are in line with those used by professional practicing artists. You will be advised on presentation and mounting techniques.
What support is available?
One to one support, technical demonstrations, small group peer interaction.

What are the entry requirements?
You will have already completed our ‘Introduction to Landscape Painting using Acrylics’ course, or you will have previous experience of landscape painting and are ready to take your skills to the next level.

Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
You will need to bring with you a range of acrylic paint brushes, a set of acrylic paint tubes, palette, water jar and a support to work on (A2/13 Canvas/ board/ or Canvas Board recommended)..
