What is the course about?
This focused 5‑week bricklaying course is designed to help you take the next step in your trade skills. Ideal for those who have completed our Intermediate Bricklaying course, or anyone with basic experience, this follow‑on course sharpens your technique and builds confidence with essential trowel skills.
Why should I choose the course?
This short bricklaying course further develops a range of hand-skills and practical tasks that build on your basic pre-existing skills and gives you the ability to do more complex tasks.
What will I learn?
Over the 5 weeks, you’ll build confidence and precision through hands-on development of the following:
- Refresh and strengthen your core bricklaying skills and techniques
- Improve accuracy and consistency
- Learn how to correctly measure out and mark up for accurate bricklaying
- Lay a stretcher bond wall with consistent joint formation
- Techniques for ensuring clean and square corners, building on your Intermediate Bricklaying skills
- Ability to identify and correct common bricklaying errors.
What will the course lead on to?
