Combination Pathways

NEW for September 2027, Warrington & Vale Royal College is excited to offer Combination Pathways, full-time study programmes that combine A Levels, V Levels and technical qualifications.

Our Combination Pathways offer an innovative approach to further education, combining A Level qualifications and V Level qualifications with complementary technical education programmes. These pathways provide strong academic foundations alongside practical, industry-focused skills that enhance employability and career readiness. By blending academic study with vocational learning, students can develop the knowledge, experience, and confidence needed to progress to university, higher and degree apprenticeships, or a wide range of future career opportunities. These unique career pathways help students stand out from the crowd and make informed choices about their next steps.

V Levels

V Levels will be launching in September 2027. One V Level qualification is equivalent to one A Level qualification, and they combine academic knowledge with practical, industry-focused skills, helping students build both confidence and real-world experience for their future.

A Levels

A Levels are academic qualifications typically studied over two years. As they are widely recognised by universities and employers, A Levels are ideal for students who have clear academic interests and are aiming for higher education.

Technical Courses

Also known as BTECs or vocational qualifications, technical courses are a combination of practical, skills-based, and theory-based learning that prepares you to be technically excellent in a specific industry or skilled role. Often assessed through a mix of coursework, projects, and exams, they equip you with the skills needed for both university and employment.
