What is the course about?
This short Next Steps course is to continue to learn the basic skills, techniques and knowledge to help you set up a basic floristry business.
Why should I choose the course?
The course is for learners aged 19 plus, and ideally aimed at learners who have attended the Introduction course or have already gained the basics or have previous basic skills and knowledge in setting up a small business.
What will I learn?
The course includes the following content:

- Theory - Services on offer and promotions.
- Theory - Wholesaler web site navigation and flower stock ordering
- Theory - Floristry window and gift shop dressing
- Practical - Window displays
- Practical - Tribute designs
- Occasions - Baby shower and Valentine’s designs

What will the course lead on to?
We offer various floristry themed courses throughout the year.
The course will give you a basic skill to enable you to progress onto an accredited course with another provider.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements but you do need basic IT skills as you will be undertaking research tasks during the course.
Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
For the practical elements of the course, we will provide basic flowers, but you may be required to bring in extra foliage.
Purchase of your own text books and you will be advised about these at the first class.
