What is the course about?
Take your floristry skills to the next level! Building on the foundations of our first Flowers from Around the World course, this class explores stunning floral traditions from across the globe. You’ll learn techniques and styles inspired by different cultures, giving you the confidence to create unique, internationally influenced arrangements.
Why should I choose the course?
You should choose this course if you have already completed Flowers from Around the World and other floristry courses—from design and concepts through to advanced techniques. You’ll bring your existing skills and knowledge to this course and build on them to reach the next level.
If you want to continue your floristry journey and refine your expertise with new, creative challenges, this course is the perfect next step for you.
What will I learn?
Explore the beauty and cultural significance of floral design from around the world! Each week, you’ll dive into the styles and traditions of:
- The Netherlands
- Japan
- France
- Latin America
You’ll not only master the techniques to create stunning designs inspired by these countries, but also discover how flowers play a role in their celebrations and festivals.
Your tutor will guide you through each theme and advise on any additional materials needed during the first session.

This ensures you have the foundational skills and knowledge needed to build on and succeed in this advanced class.
What are my funding options?

Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
Students are required to bring their own floristry or household scissors each week, along with a small amount of evergreen greenery. You’ll also need to provide your own vessels during the course—these can be items you already have at home or ones you pick up from charity shops.
If you are sensitive to handling flowers or foliage, we recommend wearing gardening or rubber gloves for comfort and protection.
Full details of what you’ll need for each session will be shared during the first class.
