Limara is one step closer to a self-employed venture thanks to our Level 2 Hairdressing course

Limara Rowley started studying at Warrington & Vale Royal College to do something for herself after becoming a full-time mum. Having always had an interest in hairdressing this course was a perfect start!

Limara Rowley

After completing a basic hairdressing course at GCSE, Limara went on to work in the education sector until 2011 and has since been a stay-at-home mum. However, she has always wanted to pursue a hairdressing career and therefore decided to enrol on a course at our college as it close to both home and her children’s schools and so the has no trouble with the commute. The course also runs during school hours and so fits great around her other commitments.

Limara feels like she has learnt so many new things. When asked about how her tutor has supported her, Limara said: “Lisa has been amazing, she has supported me when I have needed help and allowed me to grow my confidence.”

Lisa Lindsay, Limara’s hairdressing tutor, said: “Limara is making fantastic progress, bringing clients in every week, and completing a variety of assessments. She is very professional and displays excellent client care with all clients.”

In the future, Limara would like to work from home or become a mobile hairdresser. She feels like the skills she is learning on this course will set her up perfectly for the future.
