Meet Peter, a retired accountant learning something new

Meet Peter, a retired accountant from Appleton who decided it was time to learn something new - made possible with a part-time course at Warrington & Vale Royal College.

Peter Gillion

After retiring from his successful career in accountancy, Peter was eager to expand his horizons and learn new skills. So, he decided to enrol on the part-time patisserie course at Warrington & Vale Royal College. This was an easy choice for Peter, who likes that the college is close to home, easy to get to, and offers convenient class times that have fit in with his other commitments seamlessly.

Throughout the course, Peter has been mastering a range of skills, including creating perfect choux pastry and making delicious crème patisserie.

Peter’s journey is a great reminder that it’s never too late to try something new, especially when you’re doing it for the love of learning! Whether you’re looking to explore a new hobby or develop professional skills, Warrington & Vale Royal College offers flexible part-time courses suited to all.
