Meet Kelly, a Maths Functional Skills student looking to enhance her career prospects and boost her CV

Eager to strengthen her foundation in maths, Kelly enrolled on the course with the goal of progressing to GCSE level and opening the door to further study at the college.

After meeting with the college’s careers team, Kelly felt inspired to take the next step in her personal and professional development. She recognised that gaining more qualifications would not only boost her confidence but also enhance her CV and improve her employability.

Speaking about her experience, Kelly said: “The tutors at the college are so friendly, helpful, and make the classes fun!”

So far, Kelly’s favourite part of the course has been developing problem-solving skills and learning about budgeting and other essential life skills — knowledge that she’s already finding useful in her everyday life.
