All students complete a one-week work placement each year. These placements can lead to fantastic opportunities, including apprenticeships and part-time jobs—many students even go above and beyond by doing extra voluntary work.

What are the entry requirements?
To join this course, you must have:
- Successfully completed the Level 2 Electrical Installation course
- A Level 2 adult literacy and numeracy qualification
- Attended an interview with the relevant curriculum staff.

Are there any additional costs associated with the course?
Yes. You’ll need the following items for the course:
- Pens, paper, and a scientific calculator
- A navy polo shirt with the college logo and electrical embroidery
- Black cargo/work trousers
- Safety shoes or boots (note: rigger boots are not allowed)
- A CSCS Card for work placements (£30)
You’ll also be given a reading list during your first week to support your studies.
