Meet Joe, HNC Electrical & Electronic Engineering student who is advancing his career

Joe Berthels decided to enrol on our HNC Electrical & Electronic Engineering course after successfully completing a level 3 apprenticeship with us. The company Joe works for, where he completed his apprenticeship, are funding his course and granting him time off work to attend tutorials, which Joe is grateful for.

Joe hopes that gaining this qualification will increase his opportunities for progression within his organisation.

Warrington & Vale Royal College was the perfect place for Joe to continue his studies as he is familiar with us and was impressed by our higher education offer. Joe has also been impressed with the amount of support on offer for adult students, telling us: “We get regular feedback whenever we do a piece of work and my tutor provides 1:1 support whenever needed.”

In the future, Joe hopes to progress on to our HND qualification before perhaps completing the final year of a degree. He hopes that these qualifications will lead to career progression within his current company. Best of luck, Joe!
