What is the course about?

Learning the fundamentals of using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in a variety of different settings and users.

Why should I choose the course?

You will learn how to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for your own purposes.

  • - Home: using AI to be creative and do routine tasks.
  • - Work: enhancing your workflow and learning new ways of working.
  • - Education: Using AI as a tool such as being your researcher.

What will I learn?

The course will demonstrate the potential of AI.

 

 You will learn:

 

  •          What is AI? Foundations and Real-World Applications.
  •          How AI Works – Key Concepts and Tools
  •         Using AI as your Personal Assistant
  •         Mastering Prompts and Time-Saving Content Creation
  •          Unleashing your Creativity with AI

The tutor will informally assess you, and you will also self-assess your weekly progress.

What will the course lead on to?

On completion of this course, you may be offered progression onto another ACL course, such as,

 

  • Essential Digital Skills (Introduction, Next Steps & Advanced levels),
  • Digital Photography (Introduction, Next Steps & Advanced levels),
  • Get Started with Website Design (for all)
  • Audio Production (for all)
  • Video Production (for all)
  • Podcast Production (for all)
  • Getting Started with AI (for all, understanding and using)
  • Cyber Security (for all)

 

We offer a wide variety of part-time adult courses to help you upskill, secure that promotion, even get to university, or just meet new friends, we will have something for you.

What support is available?

We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if required, as well as a Welfare Team that is on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed. Additionally, eligible students can access a wide range of finance and funding support to help them during their time at college.

What are the entry requirements?

No previous qualifications are needed to enrol on this course although attendance of the “Getting Started with AI” course is ideal.

Basic computer literacy.

Ideally have access to a home computer with Internet access.
