What is the course about?
This non-accredited course is designed for students who have completed the Getting Started with Spanish, Build on Your Spanish, and Spanish for Everyday Use courses.
Enhance Your Spanish to the Next Level aims to help you develop a high level of proficiency, focusing on complex grammar structures, advanced vocabulary, and the ability to understand and engage in sophisticated conversations on a variety of topics. These include culture, history, and abstract concepts. You will also master advanced verb tenses, moods, and their uses.
The course begins in September and runs throughout the year, with enrolment and completion encouraged each half term.
As with all languages, practice outside the classroom is essential. Handouts will be provided each week, but no structured homework is assigned.
Why should I choose the course?
The course will focus on developing key speaking skills such as intonation and confidence, as well as analysis of techniques to aid writing, reading, and listening progression.
What will I learn?
During the course, you will:
• Understand and use direct and indirect objects
• Use prepositions to express placement
• Learn and apply the rules of accentuation
• Explore formal and informal writing styles (CVs, emails, etc.)
• Read and analyse texts by Spanish authors.
You will be informally assessed by your tutor throughout the course.

What are the entry requirements?
This is course is a continuation for students who have completed the Getting started with Spanish, Build on your Spanish, and Spanish for Everyday use courses.
You may also enrol if you have previously attended and completed other Spanish courses elsewhere and have a good level of speaking, reading and writing.
Students who have previously attended and completed Enhance your Spanish can also enrol for 25/26.
