What is the course about?
Take your Spanish to the next level with this engaging 15-week course, designed for students who have completed our Introduction to Spanish, Next Steps in Spanish, and Developing your Spanish course, and are ready to progress to A1 level.
Choose from two flexible start dates: September 2026 to February half-term 2027 or February/March 2027 to June 2027, with friendly, supportive classes held on Wednesday mornings.
Build confidence as you strengthen your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, with a focus on grammar, pronunciation, and real-life communication.
You’ll receive weekly handouts to support your learning, and while there’s no formal homework, you’ll be encouraged to practise little and often to get the most out of your course.
Start building your confidence and enjoy bringing the Spanish language to life!
Why should I choose the course?
This Spanish course is designed to build your confidence in speaking the language, with a strong focus on pronunciation and intonation. You’ll also develop effective techniques to support your reading, writing, and listening skills—helping you communicate more naturally and fluently.
What will I learn?
On this Spanish course, you’ll expand your grammar knowledge, including key topics such as present and past continuous, present perfect, conditional forms, direct and indirect objects, and accentuation, alongside formal and informal writing.
Each week combines writing practice, group discussions, and listening activities, helping you apply what you learn in a practical way. You’ll build your confidence across all four skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—at A1 level.
Your progress is supported through regular tutor feedback and your own personalised learning plan, helping you track your development and stay motivated throughout the course.
What will the course lead on to?
This course provides the perfect stepping stone to your next stage of learning, preparing you to progress confidently onto our year-long Spanish course (planned for 2027/28) and continue building your language skills further.
