Take the first step towards your career
Apprenticeships allow you to work and study at the same time. You will combine practical training in your workplace while studying at college so that you can earn while you learn. We like to call it ‘the best of both worlds.’
We benefit from being one of the largest training providers in the North West and work with hundreds of top employers – including the NHS – to bring you specialist training that provides you with the right skills to succeed in your career choice. We work with accredited institutions and offer AAT, CIPD and ILM courses as part of the apprenticeship programme.
By completing an apprenticeship with us we support you every step of the way. You’ll receive expert support from our apprenticeship coaches who will visit you in the work place and provide support during your training.
Apprenticeship Matching Service
Did you know that we have our very own apprenticeship matching service? We match your CV to apprenticeship vacancies. We will help you develop your CV and include you in our talent pool. Ask our apprenticeship team for more information.

A route into an apprenticeship or a job
If you are aged 16 to 18 and would like to gain some fantastic work skills and experience whilst working towards securing paid employment, then a traineeship could be the ideal pathway for you!
A traineeship is an exciting skills development programme which includes a work placement and aims to boost the confidence of young people around employment.
Lasting for six months, traineeships at Warrington & Vale Royal College provide you with hands-on experience and help you to prepare for the working world. In addition, essential employability skills and occupational studies will supplement your work placement, providing you with the skills and experience employers are looking for. Traineeships also offer an opportunity to achieve desirable qualifications in English, maths and digital skills, if required.
Throughout your traineeship, you will receive tailored one-to-one guidance and support from a designated traineeship job coach as well as your employer. The sought-after skills and industry knowledge you will gain from your traineeship will help you feel ready to progress onto the next step. After completing your traineeship, you could progress into employment, secure an apprenticeship or enrol onto a further education course.
