What is the course about?
An operations/departmental manager is generally an individual who manages teams and/or projects, and has responsibility for planning, delivering, and achieving departmental goals and objectives. They are responsible for the operational and/or policy delivery of the organisation's strategy. This apprenticeship has been designed to provide access to development opportunities for a wide a range of people. This includes individuals who are at the start of their career and wish to take their first steps into professional management, as well as those who may already have developed practical experience but wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills.

What will the course lead on to?
Upon successful completion, you can register as a full member with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and/or the Institute of Leadership and Management. Those with three years of management experience can apply for chartered manager status through the CMI. You may choose to continue your studies with a degree level apprenticeship.

You will be allocated a designated tutor to guide you through your apprenticeship. We have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if required, as well as a Welfare Team that is on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed.

What are the entry requirements?
You must have at least one level 2 functional skills qualifications in English or maths or equivalent.
You must be in a strategic management role or have development opportunities to allow you to gather the required evidence
