Delivered online, this programme includes live sessions with your tutor, interactive group work, and blended learning opportunities through Google Classroom. Designed with flexibility in mind, the course provides a balance of live, interactive sessions and independent learning. You’ll attend fortnightly sessions from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm, and engage in activities outside of taught sessions, making it easy to fit into your schedule while gaining valuable knowledge and skills.
What will I learn?
The ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching and Mentoring course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel as an executive coach or mentor. You'll gain the tools needed to make a positive impact on individuals, teams, and organisations.
The course is delivered online via live, synchronous sessions with blended learning activities. This includes 15 bi-weekly sessions, supplemented with blended learning opportunities throughout the course. Completing this qualification is estimated to take 12-18 months, as you are required to log 20 hours of coaching practice.
The course is made up of three key modules designed to help you develop and demonstrate your executive coaching and mentoring expertise. These are:
- Understanding the Principles and Practice of Executive Coaching and Mentoring
- Undertaking Coaching or Mentoring at an Executive or Senior Level
- Reflecting on Your Coaching or Mentoring Practice.
You will be assessed through written assignments. These require wider reading, theory application, and reflection on your coaching practice. These assignments will assess your understanding and practical experience. These are:
- Understanding the Context of Coaching and Mentoring in a Strategic Business Environment
- Undertaking Coaching or Mentoring at a Senior and Strategic Level
- Reflecting on Your Ability to Perform Effectively as a Coach or Mentor at a Senior Level.
You will also be required to evidence your 20 hours of coaching practice.Â
