The certificate is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and on completion of the course you will be awarded with an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

What will I learn?
Overall, the intent of the ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching and Mentoring course is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel as executive coaches and mentors, making a positive impact on individuals, teams, and organisations.
The qualification will be delivered virtually, with sessions conducted online and led live by a tutor. These sessions will take place every two weeks from 2.30pm to 5.00pm, with a total of 15 sessions scheduled.
The overall duration of the qualification is estimated to be between 18 and 24 months. This timescale allows for the completion and evidencing of 20 hours of coaching, which is a required component.
The Level 7 Certificate Executive Coaching and Mentoring consists of three core modules that enable participants to understand, develop, and demonstrate knowledge and skills in executive coaching and mentoring. These are:
- Understanding the principles and practice of effective coaching and mentoring at an executive or senior level.
- Undertaking coaching or mentoring at an executive or senior level.
- Reflecting on your ability to perform effectively as a coach or mentor at an executive or senior level.
Modules are supported by the following written assignments:
- 700 Understanding the context of coaching and mentoring in a strategic business environment
- 701. Undertaking coaching or mentoring at a senior and strategic level
- 703. Reflecting on your own ability to perform effectively as a coach or mentor practising at a senior level
You will be assessed through these written assignments for which you are required to include wider reading, theory, and reflection on your coaching practice.
