What is the course about?
This qualification is ideal if you have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing your leadership and management abilities. It’s particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

The you cover two units which will cover a combination from the following, depending upon when you join the course through the year:
- 308 Understanding Leadership
- 322 Understanding the organisation and it’s context
- 341 Leading and Motivating a team
- 343 Understanding mental health in the workplace
You will be assessed through the medium of written assignments. Completing the Award you will receive 4 Credit Values.
What will the course lead on to?
Successful completion of this course allows progression onto the ILM Level 3 Certificate or Diploma programme, leading to a level 5 qualification as part of your Leadership and management development.
