What is the course about?
The ILM Level 5 programme in Leadership and Management is suitable for those who are for project managers, department heads, and other practising middle managers.
The course is designed to develop your skills and experience, improving your performance and preparing you for senior management responsibilities. The Award is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and on completion of the course you will be awarded with an ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management. You will use core management techniques to drive better results through an understanding of the context in which the organisation operates.

What will I learn?
The course will develop your understanding of the organisational environment, develop your skills to develop and lead a team and provide you with an understanding of your own leadership capability and performance

- Knowing how to develop and motivate a team
- Understand the external environment and assessing its impact on the organisation
The two units you will undertake are:
- 519 Developing and leading teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives
- 520 Assessing your own leadership capability and performance
You will be assessed through the medium of written assignments.
What will the course lead on to?
Successful completion of this course allows progression on to the ILM Level 5 Certificate or Diploma programme as part of your leadership and management development.

What are the entry requirements?
This course is for those who are managing people within thier role. There are no formal entry requirements to study on this course, however a pre-course assessment and course discussion will be required to ensure you are suitable for the course.
