What is the course about?
This course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge, skills, and understanding required to mentor effectively within an organisational setting. Through a series of structured sessions, students will develop both the theoretical foundation and practical capabilities necessary to enhance their mentoring proficiency and confidence.
The course is ideally suited to individuals who are new to mentoring, as well as those already in mentoring roles seeking to refine and strengthen their approach.

What will I learn?

The course offers opportunities to practise your new skills through supervised mentoring sessions, enabling you to reflect on and analyse your performance to continually enhance your mentoring ability.
The three units you will undertake are:
300 – Understanding Good Practice in Mentoring within an Organisational Context
301 – Undertaking Mentoring within an Organisational Context
303 – Reflecting on Mentoring Skills within an Organisational Context
What will the course lead on to?
For those wishing to further their professional development, successful completion of this course enables progression to the ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Coaching and the Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring.
For individuals not interested in pursuing further qualifications, the course provides valuable knowledge and practical skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace to enhance mentoring effectiveness and contribute to organisational success.

There are no formal entry requirements to study on this course, however a course discussion is required to ensure you are suitable to study at this level.
Students must be in a position to meet the assessment demands of the qualification, which requires access to a maximum of 2 mentees for 6 hours of mentoring.
