What is the course about?
This programme will provide students with the required knowledge, skills and understanding in order to effectively coach others within an organisational context. The taught sessions will help to develop students coaching knowledge, skills and understanding in order to enhance their ability and confidence in coaching. The qualifications are ideal for both new and existing coaches.
Benefits to employers involve having staff developed as coaches equipped with the skills knowledge and behaviours to implement a coaching culture with their organisation.

This course will be delivered online with fortnightly live sessions with the tutor, interactive group work and blended learning opportunities in the google classroom.
What will I learn?
You will learn what it takes to be an effective coach, how coaching works, how to use a recognised coaching model, and the tools and techniques to support it. There will be opportunity to put your new skills into practice and carry out supervised coaching sessions and be able to analyse your own coaching performance in order to improve own ability.
The 3 units you will undertake are:
300 - Understanding Good Practice in Coaching within an Organisational Context
301 - Undertaking Coaching within an Organisational Context
303 - Reflecting on Coaching Skills within an Organisational Context
What will the course lead on to?
Successful completion of this course allows progression to ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Mentoring and a level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring.

What are the entry requirements?
ILM has not set an entry requirement for the qualifications, however students must ensure that they are in a position to meet the assessment demands of the qualification which requires access to a maximum of 2 mentees for 6 hours of coaching
There are no formal entry requirements to study on this course, however a course discussion is required to ensure you are suitable to study at this level.
