What is the course about?

CSI: Crime Lab Academy is a 5-week introduction to forensic science, designed to explore how crimes are investigated and solved. You’ll step into the role of a forensic investigator, learning how to examine crime scenes, analyse evidence, and use scientific techniques to uncover clues and reconstruct events.

You’ll gain practical knowledge across key areas of forensic science, including:

Crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and documentation
Fingerprint analysis and bloodstain pattern interpretation
Trace evidence techniques such as hair, fibre, and microscopy analysis
DNA profiling and the role of genetics in identifying individuals
Forensic toxicology and substance analysis using laboratory methods.
