What is the course about?

The Level 3 Certificate in Social Prescribing is aimed primarily at those working within or looking to move to a role where elements of social prescribing are used as part of their work within the healthcare sector.

During the course learners will broaden their skills and knowledge in social health and well-being work and to support individuals to access services in the community that are appropriate to their needs.

It will provide key content in the following areas related to social prescribing environments:

  • delivering community-based solutions
  • offering vulnerable adults holistic support
  • managing caseloads
  • micro-commissioning

measuring outcomes to improve support mechanisms

What are the entry requirements?

Work in or have experience working within the health and social care sector or hold a health and social care qualification.

English at a grade 4 or above.
