What is the course about?

GCSE Combined Science is a one-year course aim at 19+ students who wish to gain or upgrade a science qualification in preparation for pre-access, access or HE courses in the Health Care Sector or Science related courses.

Why should I choose the course?

To gain an accredited qualification and refresh knowledge to support further study at Access to HE and HNC level.

What will I learn?

Fundamental knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

What will the course lead on to?

T level Science (Laboratory Science), Apprenticeships in Laboratory Science Technician or Science Manufacturing Technician, Health Care Science and Health courses, Pre-access and Access courses in Adult nursing, Paramedics, Midwifery and HNC courses.

Are there any links with industry and university?

Internal connections with Health Care Sciences such as Nursing, Paramedics, Midwifery and Healthcare sector. Engagement with employers to discuss the different pathways into science.
