You will be supported in a nurturing environment, where you can refresh your study skills and develop the self-assurance necessary to thrive in an academic setting. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to complete either a GCSE qualification in English or Maths, or their functional skills equivalents, alongside the course.
Upon successful completion, you will be well-prepared to progress on to one of our Access to Higher Education (HE) qualifications in Allied Health Professionals or Nursing & Midwifery. These pathways offer a direct route to university or higher level study, where you can pursue degrees in fields such as Paramedic Science, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology.

What will the course lead on to?
Upon completion of the course, you may have the opportunity to progress into a role within the health and social care sector, pursue an apprenticeship, or continue your studies with a level 3 qualification, such as the Level 3 Diploma Access to Higher Education - Allied Health Professionals, or the Level 3 Diploma Access to Higher Education - Nursing & Midwifery.

What are the entry requirements?
The entry requirements for this course depend on what your intended progression route is upon completion.
If you are looking to progress into employment directly after completing this course, there are no formal entry requirements, however in order to ensure that you are able to meet the academic demands of the course, you will be required to undertake a short assessment when invited in for an interview.
If you are looking to progress on to one of our Level 3 Diploma Access to HE pathways, you will be required to hold a GCSE Grade 4/C or above in either maths or English Language, or equivalent. You will also be required to complete the outstanding maths or English course alongside. You will be required to undertake an assessment to determine the level of English/maths course.
If you hold equivalent qualifications to GCSE we strongly advise you to check university entry requirements to confirm they will accept your equivalent qualifications.
