Former Bridgewater High School Pupil Evie-Mae has always had a talent for dance, realising quickly that the only career for her would be one where she could dance every day.
Now, aspiring to work as an entertainer on a cruise ship, Evie-Mae believes her course is setting her up to achieve this goal. She said:
“This course is so varied and enjoyable! I am learning so many new skills and everything that I need to work in the entertainment industry. My tutors are amazing and so talented, too. I am getting trained by the best to be the best. It’s great!”
Evie-Mae saw Warrington & Vale Royal College as a natural next step for her, having heard about its excellent reputation for dance and performing arts. Already, Evie-Mae has had the opportunity to participate in an industry placement with Culture Warrington, gaining valuable on-the-job experience in the entertainment sector.
As part of a Lantern Show, performers were briefed to create a piece about Warrington’s history, and Evie-Mae’s dance was thoughtfully inspired by the River of Light memorial in the town centre. Choreographing a water dance, the performance was a success, with Evie-Mae gaining confidence in this technically challenging aspect of the course as well as making connections inside one of Warrington’s most significant cultural organisations.
Well done for a fabulous debut with Culture Warrington, Evie-Mae!
