Student Aimie Toher chosen for Warrington Wolves women‚ squad
Public Services and Sport student Aimie Toher has been chosen for Warrington Wolves women‚ squad for 2019. Aged just sixteen, Aimie is the youngest member of the women‚ team. The former Penketh High School student attended an open trial at the club to showcase her skills. Approximately 70 other aspiring female rugby players attended the trial, but it was during a game of contact that Aimie‚ talent shone through. Aimie said: I found out I‚Äôd been chosen for the team by phone call. I was so happy and my dad was really proud ‚Äì he was my coach when I was just six years old! Being part of a professional team, especially one as big as Warrington Wolves, requires commitment and hard work, but it makes me feel so grown-up. Upon completing Level 1 Public Services and Sport at college, Aimie hopes to progress on to Level 2 Sport and has spoken with tutors about eventually progressing on to a HNC to pursue her dream of becoming a sports coach. We wish Aimie the best of luck at the upcoming Warrington Wolves women‚ fixtures!
