Created by passionate science professionals, the CSI Skills Lab: A Practical Forensic Science Short Course will introduce participants to a range of forensic techniques used by investigators. Students will discover how evidence is collected, analysed and interpreted, while developing practical skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
The course has been designed for adults with an interest in crime investigation, science, or those considering future study or career opportunities in related fields. No previous experience is required, making it accessible to anyone curious about the world of forensic science.
Throughout the five weeks, participants will take part in a variety of practical exercises inspired by real-life crime scene investigation techniques in the college’s state-of-the-art Life Sciences Academy. Topics include evidence recovery, forensic analysis and the role of science in solving criminal cases.
