Meet 'Trailblazer' Connor Birdsey!

Former Rudheath Senior Academy student Connor is studying Level 1 Electrical Installation at the college's Winsford campus. Connor chose to study at the Winsford campus following a taster day, during which he met Winsford Campus Manager and Electrical Tutor Nick Anderson. Connor says Nick's friendly demeanour and the fun activities the students completed during the taster day inspired him to apply to the college.

Connor is thoroughly enjoying his course so far and has gained an abundance of new skills. He says the staff at the college are great and always provide excellent guidance and support to the students. Connor says "I would 100% recommend this course and the college. Coming here was the best possible choice I could have made."

Dedicated Connor is already gaining valuable work experience alongside his course, working two days per week at Ashbrook, one of the leading plant and access hire companies in the Cheshire and North Wales area. In the future, Connor aims to become self-employed and build his own successful business. He says the experience and knowledge he is currently gaining from his college course and part-time job will help him realise this ambition. Connor says, "I'd love to be self-employed in the future and I'm keen to learn all the skills I can."
