Health & Social Care Success- Meet Aron-Lee Curzon

Meet Aron-Lee Curzon! Previous Level 3 Health & Social Care student Aron studied at the college‚ Winsford campus, and originally chose his course because he wanted to make a real difference to people‚ lives. Aron, former student of Winsford Academy, thoroughly enjoyed his time at the college, saying, studying at Warrington & Vale Royal College was wonderful. I loved every minute of my college experience. Aron also praised the high level of support he was offered throughout his course, saying, The tutors were so supportive and had extremely experienced backgrounds. From day one I always felt welcomed and supported. Whilst studying at Winsford campus, Aron undertook a work placement which led to securing a part-time job as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. He credits this valuable work experience for helping him prepare for the future; As a result of the work experience and the job I obtained through college, I was able to learn valuable skills and gain vital experience that definitely prepared me for university life and a career in health and social care. Following his course, Aron progressed onto the University of Chester to study Adult Nursing. He is now in the second year of his degree and is currently on placement taking care of patients in a Covid ward. After university, Aron intends to work in a palliative care setting and possibly complete a master‚ degree in order to become a dual qualified adult/learning disability nurse. Aron highly recommends nursing and the field of health and social care in general, saying Nursing is an amazing career and opens up so many opportunities. The health and social care sector is massive and students who study it can go to things that they never knew existed. Aron is the first member of his family to have gone to university and says, It was never an option in my mind growing up. He explains that his time at college inspired him to take his education to the next level; The support from the tutors and the college helped me realise that anything is possible with hard work and determination. I truly believe that if it wasn‚Äôt for the college, I wouldn‚Äôt be doing what I‚Äôm doing now. Warrington & Vale Royal College are incredibly proud of Aron‚ amazing achievements and are looking forward to seeing how his career unfolds.
