Meet 'Amazing Alumni' Shannen Stocks!
Shannen studied Level 3 Performing Arts (Dance) at Warrington
& Vale Royal College before progressing onto the college's HNC and HND in Performing Arts. Former Culcheth High School student Shannen loved her time at college, saying "Warrington
& Vale Royal College shaped me into who I am today, and encouraged me to progress, which has resulted in many great achievements."
Throughout her course, Shannen had the opportunity to complete a number of work placements, which allowed her to build up her practical skills and industry experience. Shannen says, "Studying Performing Arts at Warrington and Vale Royal College gave me fantastic insights into performing for audiences. I was able to gain work experience teaching and performing in community events such as Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival and Empire Theatre Liverpool. I also contributed to choreographing and producing work for the stage."
Following her time at college, Shannen secured a place at Liverpool John Moores University to study a BA Hons in Contemporary Dance. She is now in her third year of study at university and has flourished throughout her degree, recently achieving a first in her latest practical examination. Shannen is thoroughly enjoying her time at university, saying "I could not be happier!"
