What is the course about?

This short 6-week course is aimed as a follow-on skills course for those who have completed the “Steering and suspension - inc replacing components (dampers, shock absorbers, track rod ends.) ” course or those with basic skills wanting to further develop their existing vehicle practical skills.

This short course is perfect for anyone looking to build on their existing knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance. It focuses on developing essential hand skills and practical techniques, helping you grow in confidence and ability as you take the next step in your automotive journey.

What will I learn?

Over the 6 weeks you will be developing skills and knowledge in the following:

  • Carry out 4 wheel alignment and adjustment
  • Removal and refitting of cylinder head
  • Removal and replacement of cambelt

What will the course lead on to?

Upon completion, students may choose to progress to a fully certified qualification in the motor vehicle trade, further enhancing their skills and career prospects.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific entry requirements, however a basic understanding of English and Maths will be required.
