What is the course about?

This exciting Level 2 course, designed for learners aged 17+, provides a broad introduction to the aviation and airline sector, with a particular focus on the role of Cabin Crew and ground operations. Drawing on the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Cabin Crew and the NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Operations, the course develops the essential knowledge, behaviours, and practical skills required to begin a career in the aviation industry. Students at the college will explore airline operations, customer service, safety and emergency procedures, aviation security, and the realities of working in the customer focused and dynamic travel and tourism industry.

Why should I choose the course?

This course is ideal for learners who dream of working in aviation, travel, or customer facing roles but need a clear and accessible starting point. It builds confidence, professional skills, and industry understanding through engaging practical activities—including simulated inflight service, safety demonstrations, team building activities, and scenario based customer service tasks. Students will benefit from supportive teaching and a curriculum created in line with industry expectations.

What will I learn?

This engaging course explores the practical skills needed for a successful career in the aviation industry. Through hands on training in our mock-up aircraft, you will learn to manage onboard passenger interactions, deliver announcements, respond to emergency scenarios, and apply effective sales techniques while developing essential industry terminology. You will also gain insight into airport operations and a range of ground roles, with an emphasis on health, safety and security expectations. Throughout the course, you will build strong professional standards, including communication, interpersonal skills, appropriate conduct and presentation, preparing you to enter employment in this fast-paced sector.

What will the course lead on to?

Successful learners may progress on to:

  • Level 3 Travel & Tourism
  • Direct employment opportunities such as:
    • Airline cabin crew
    • Airport passenger services
