Warrington & Vale Royal College Student named highly commended in NCFE Aspiration Award 2026!

Earlier this year, Paige Osmond, a Level 3 Health & Social Care student and former pupil of Bridgewater High School, was shortlisted as a finalist for the NCFE Aspiration Awards 2026, in the Against All Odds category. She has now received the news that she has been named highly commended in this category, acknowledging Paige’s unwavering commitment and resilience.

Since its launch in 2018, the NCFE Aspiration Awards have recognised individuals and organisations across the UK who embody excellence in technical education. With this highly commended status for the Against All Odds Award, Paige has been recognised for her remarkable ability to overcome adversity, demonstrating dedication, and her unrelenting commitment to her learning and personal development.

Paige stands out as a truly inspirational individual, whose passion for caring for others extends well beyond her studies. She is a young leader with Cubs and Explorers, volunteers at her church, and is actively involved with the Mamatoto charity, which supports young people in need around the world. Judges at the NCFE Aspiration Awards noted that these selfless actions reflect kindness, humility, and a strong sense of social responsibility that made her a stand-out nominee in this category.

Closer to home, Paige was also recognised at the college’s own Further Education Awards, in which she was presented with Student of the Year: Health & Social Care back in June. This award recognised her efforts within her course and the wider college community; her volunteer work as a Student Representative for the Health & Social Care Academy as well and Student Ambassador; and commended the positive attitude which she brings to her studies.

The college is incredibly proud of Paige and congratulates her on all her achievements this year.
