Health & Social Care Academy
Our new Health & Social Care Academy aims to address skills gaps in the local area by training the next generation of health and social care professionals as well as upskilling those currently working in the sector.
Thanks to a £1m investment from the Town Deal, Warrington campus is now home to a Health & Social Care Academy. Established with support from Warrington & Halton NHS Trust, Warrington Local Authority and many other stakeholders from the voluntary and private sectors, our facilities meet the demands and needs of the industry. This exciting new facility will work closely with local employers, health & social care settings and care providers in the Warrington region, identifying skills gaps and providing sector specific training.
Our innovate academy features a range of fantastic industry-standard facilities, including a mock hospital ward, dementia training resources and an independent living flat.
The academy will be a regional centre of excellence, training students and those already working in the sector to meet local employment needs and a successful career in this rewarding field.
The academy is also able to offer specialised training and delivery sessions including manual handling, personal assistance, first aid, and clinical skills such as venepuncture.
The state-of-the-art facilities and technologies provided by the academy enable our students to benefit from first-class training.
We are also able to deliver large-scale training sessions in our purpose-built conference suite, which can be delivered live and broadcasted out to larger groups in various settings.
Our Health & Social Care Academy Manager is always on hand to support our employer partners.
