Warrington & Vale Royal College prepares to welcome Year 11 pupils to our eagerly anticipated School Leaver Open Evenings

Warrington & Vale Royal College excitedly awaits opening its doors to Year 11 pupils in a series of Open Evenings, starting on Tuesday 10th October 2023. The college, which is Warrington’s leading provider of technical education and skills training, is delighted to welcome young people, their families and friends to explore the fantastic range of T Levels, technical courses and apprenticeships on offer.

Join us at our first School Leaver Open Evening on Tuesday 10th October 2023.

These popular Open Evening events are held at the college’s Warrington campus, just outside of the town’s centre, and allow prospective future students to explore a range of cutting-edge facilities, engage in insightful conversations with expert tutors, all while getting a real feel for life as a Warrington & Vale Royal College student. With so many options available after high school, it is essential that young people are fully informed about what their future could look like and are supported to choose the right course for their career aspirations.

The college, having over 40 years of specialist experience in delivering alternatives to the traditional A Level pathways, is well positioned to demonstrate the value of technical qualifications, which focus on giving practical and industry-relevant skills as well as a clear route into some of the UK’s most in-demand employment sectors. T Levels and level 3 technical qualifications are equivalent to 3 A Levels, and allow students who prefer practical learning styles to excel and access higher education, higher apprenticeships and skilled employment destinations.

There has never been a better time to visit the college, following over £12 million in investments over the past four years, its campuses are quickly becoming epicentres of innovation within the further education sector. During the college’s Open Evenings, visitors will have the opportunity to experience this investment first-hand by exploring its four specialist training academies - Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Academy, Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Academy and Health & Social Care Academy. These Academies of Technical Excellence will soon be joined by a brand-new Civil & Construction Engineering Academy at Warrington campus. Meanwhile, the college’s Winsford campus is also set to transform before September 2024 with the launch of its state-of-the-art Institute of Technology (IoT), firmly placing Warrington & Vale Royal College as a top educational destination for health and science.

Mark your calendars for the first chance to visit Warrington & Vale Royal College on Tuesday 10th October 2023, from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Following this, there will be School Leaver Open Evenings held on Wednesday 18th October, Monday 6th November, and finally Tuesday 6th February 2024.
