The Winsford campus’ IoT is part of a national network backed by significant funding from the government, with each focusing on a different specialism and a commitment to identifying future skills needs and supporting technological innovation. Warrington & Vale Royal College is excited to show off the transformation of its Winsford campus since becoming a partner IoT, and encourages the local community to come and see it for themselves.
The upcoming open event is taking place on Tuesday 26th
November from 4.00pm – 7.00pm, and will welcome students, teachers, employer partners, and stakeholders to explore the upgraded facilities and learn more about the college’s course offer for both school leavers and adults. Designed to be informative for all, the event will showcase how the Winsford campus can support local students and local business to drive forward innovation in healthcare, life sciences, and engineering; along with other subjects.
For businesses and employers, the event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with the college as a potential partner in training and workforce development. The facilities at the Winsford campus are aligned with current industry demands and, through the IoT partnership, enable collaborations to create a strong, skilled pipeline of talent in Cheshire and beyond.
Speaking on the transformation of the Winsford campus, college Principal & Chief Executive, Nichola Newton, said: “I am delighted to announce the exciting developments at our Winsford campus, which will support growth in the area and provide opportunities for students of all ages. These developments represent our unwavering commitment to providing top-tier technical education and training that empowers students to reach their full potential.”
