This ethos underpins students entire time here at the college, with regular guest lectures, live briefs and visits to industry forming part of all students’ curriculum. This includes a key college calendar event: Employer Week. This is when we really shine a spotlight on our vast employer partnerships and encourage students to engage with a whole host of organisations who take the time to visit them in college.
Today marks the end of our most recent Employer Week, and what a success it has been! Throughout the course of the week, over 30 employers from various sectors visited college to share their knowledge and experiences of working within the industry – and some even had live job vacancies to share with students.
Highlights from the week include the Apprenticeships, Jobs and Careers Fair held on Tuesday 23rd May which saw over 20 employers attend to talk to students about current vacancies within their organisation and provide practical demonstrations relevant to their sector. Another highlight of the week was our Find Your Match event, held on Thursday 25th May, which was attended by 8 employers who interviewed prospective apprentices for roles within their organisations. The morning was a huge success and many students even secured second interviews with these companies!
