Green Technology Hub Header

Green Technology Hub

Based within our brand-new Construction & Civil Engineering Academy, opening at Warrington campus in 2024 - 2025, our Green Technology Hub will focus on teaching green skills within the construction, digital and engineering sectors.

Together, the cutting-edge construction academy and green technology hub will respond to the specific needs of employers, build an increasingly skilled workforce, and grow the local economy.

The state-of-the-art hub will boast the latest green technology and equipment including air and ground source heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage, and domestic and commercial electric vehicle charging.

Students will also have access to 3D printers, surveying tools, hydrogen-ready boilers, and smart home technologies, to name a few examples, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to fill sector skills gaps and meet the country’s Net Zero Strategy.

Working with high-profile employers and key stakeholders, the college will deliver bespoke training courses that will address current skills gaps within the workforce and meet future employment demands.
