Before enrolling on her course at Warrington & Vale Royal College, Laura was working in a nursery feeling uninspired and unsettled. This prompted her decision to pursue her passion of graphic design instead, and she felt the college's Advanced Creative & Digital Skills (ACDS) centre was the perfect place to do it. Laura loved that she was able to work part-time alongside her studies at the Warrington campus and maintain a happy social life. She said: “I’ve enjoyed travelling out of my town, making friends and fostering lasting relationships with like-minded people.” Laura, having learnt a whole host of digital and traditional design techniques, is now studying at the University of Chester in pursuit of her chosen career.
Also studying at the University of Chester is Sophia Cain, fellow former HND Graphic Design student who also decided Warrington & Vale Royal College's ACDS centre was the best place to pursue her career. When reflecting upon her time at the college, Sophia said: “The best part about studying at the college was how creative I was able to be with every piece of work I completed and how much support I received from staff.” Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree, Sophia plans to work as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator – a long-time dream that is becoming a reality thanks to the high-quality education and support provided by Warrington & Vale Royal College.
