The college's higher education students joined forces with event videographers, Prism Studios, ensuring additional staff, equipment, and event footage support. Warrington & Vale Royal College also provided filming equipment including cameras, batteries, tripods, and more, from the college's Advanced Creative & Digital Skills (ACDS) Academy, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The students' access to such remarkable resources at the college enhances their ability to apply knowledge to real-life projects like TEDxWarrington.
Prism Studios has collaborated closely with Warrington & Vale Royal College on several occasions in the past, producing several promotional videos which are available to view on Warrington & Vale Royal College's website. This established relationship oversaw a seamless collaboration between the college and Prism Studios for this event.
The higher education students were given a brief to produce a showreel of the event, create vox pops with TEDxWarrington team members and event sponsors, capture speaker stage arrivals and departures, document audience reactions, and film the welcome address, interval socials and finale thanks. Capturing these additional shots, not covered by the videographers, provided event organisers with extra content to share and may contribute to promoting the event in the following years. Students are currently working on editing these pieces and are looking forward to submitting them to TEDxWarrington once completed.
The students who participated in the event on the night, Gabriel Madden and Adam Walton, demonstrated professionalism and adaptability, with the support of college staff Phil MacDonald, John Fraser, and Liam Fraser.
