Lily was thrilled to hear about her achievements, saying “I haven’t competed in over a year so I’m a bit nervous but I am so excited for the event. It’s the first opportunity I’ve had to show off since starting the course and I can’t wait to have all my friends there cheering me on.”
The former Lymm High School pupil has always enjoyed sport, and after hearing other students recommend the college, decided to start her journey towards a career in the industry with Warrington & Vale Royal College. She immediately found that the staff were friendly and offered lots of help to learners.
As part of her course, Lily takes part in enrichment once a week, which she says has really benefitted her. Lily is continuing to explore different options for a future career, but currently wants to progress into teaching sport or coaching cross fit. She thinks her course is helping her as it covers a wide range of topics, including anatomy which is her favourite topics as she enjoys learning about how the body changes during exercise.
“I’d recommend this course to anyone who loves sport. There is such a nice environment and you can create some really strong bonds with people in your class.”
We are really proud of Lily’s achievements so far and can’t wait to see how she gets on in February.
