Careers Week 2025: Bringing Our Mantra of “Careers Not Courses” to Life

At Warrington & Vale Royal College, we are passionate about transforming qualifications into meaningful career opportunities. Our commitment to 'Careers not Courses' drives everything we do, ensuring students engage directly with employers and universities to explore their futures beyond the classroom. This year’s Careers Week was no exception.

From Monday through to Friday, students had the invaluable chance to connect with a diverse range of employers and educational institutions, gaining insights into various industries and career paths.

  • Monday’s visitors included representatives from Aico, Automotive Solutions, Caring Connections, Dallam Lane Medical Centre, Edge Hill University, Elementum Hair, Gallaway, Home Instead, Liverpool Hope University, Morrisons, the Royal Navy, TMD Friction, and TTE Training.
  • Tuesday’s sessions featured guests from AECOM, Balfour Beatty, BMS Progress, Bridgewater NHS Trust, Catalyst Choices, Equans, Job Centre Plus, Wushu Studios, and Whitworth Gallery.
  • On Wednesday, we welcomed visitors from Keele University, the Ministry of Defence, the Royal Air Force, Murphy Group, Salon Services, St Benedict's Catholic Primary School, University of Salford, and Warrington Borough Council.
  • Thursday’s line-up brought in representatives from ACDSA partners 10:10 Games and Culture Warrington, as well as Cavendish Nuclear, Home Manchester, Pyrotek, Ryanair, Alan Howard & Destination Hair.
  • Finally, the week concluded with visitors from the Northwest Ambulance Service, the University of Central Lancashire, and We Change Lives.

Throughout the week, our Director of Apprenticeships also delivered engaging talks, highlighting apprenticeship pathways and the opportunities available to students.

We extend our sincere thanks to all the employers, organisations, and universities who contributed to making this Careers Week such a success. Their support is invaluable, and our students have benefitted enormously from these meaningful interactions.

As always, our award-winning Careers Team remains dedicated to supporting students year-round, helping them navigate their career journeys with confidence and clarity. We look forward to continuing this vital work and to welcoming everyone back for the next Careers Week!
