The college is looking to find two Young Artists of the Year in its popular annual arts and crafts competition! Year 10 and 11 pupils from Warrington and its surrounding areas have been challenged to showcase their best artistic creations for the chance of winning up to £70 worth of professional artists' equipment.
All entries will be displayed in an exciting exhibition as part of the launch of the college's state-of-the-art Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Centre on Thursday 23rd March 2023. The talented entrants and their families and friends will be invited to view their work at this exclusive event, which will then be followed by an award ceremony, presented by the college's Curriculum Director of Creative Arts Ben Brady.
There are two categories to enter and the college will be looking to crown both a Creative and a Digital Artist of the Year. So far, the competition has seen extremely high-quality pieces from a variety of schools. The type of art has varied from digital art, sculptures, photography, textiles and more.
The deadline for entrants is quickly approaching, so to be in a chance to win, artists must submit their work on or before Friday 10th March 2023.
To enter:
- All physical artwork must be submitted at the Warrington Campus Reception and must include the entrant's name, school, year group, email address and category that they wish to enter.
- Digital pieces must be emailed as a high-resolution (300dpi) JPEG, TIFF, or PDF to schools@wvr.ac.uk.
