After achieving a fantastic DMM in his Level 3 Sport course, Ryan is going to the University of Central Lancashire to study BA Fashion Design. During his time at college, Ryan attended a fashion show in London and set up his own fashion brand, which inspired him to go on to study the subject at university. Despite this being a different direction to his original course, Ryan said his new path was wholeheartedly supported by his tutors, and feels he has learnt lots of transferable skills that he can apply to his new field of study.
Speaking about his time at college, he said, “I never thought I’d see this day; it feels like the end of an era. I came to Warrington & Vale Royal College 5 years ago and didn’t know how far I’d go. If someone told me back then that I would be going to university, I’d have never believed them, but now I’ve proven I can and I’m really excited to be able to follow my dreams. I’m so glad I chose to study here.”
Ryan also praised his tutors, Yvonne, Chris and Matt, saying they helped him to discover what it was he wanted to do, and the mutual respect and support shown from them made his college experience “completely unforgettable.”
